Pipeline Inspection Specialist
Rainer's experience includes work as a technical inspecting engineer for BC Ministry of Energy and Mines and as a regulatory technical inspecting engineer when they became OGC-BC (presently they are known as BCER). His skills in this area were also include work with the BC Oil & Gas Commission. In addition to his work as a technical inspecting engineer, Rainer has also developed ERP’s and HSE management systems, and is a Transport Canada Certified and registered Drone Inspection Pilot.
Rainer is API 1169 and NEBOSH IGC certified with experience working on extensive domestic & international Oil & Gas construction “active control” projects. He is an Inspecting consultant for pipeline and facility construction, integrity digs, AC mitigation and CP remediation, tethers, free swim, L&R’s, Depth of Cover and brushing programs.
Rainer has managed and trained inspectors for pipeline, production facilities, construction projects and brushing programs. His skills as a reliable, experienced, and trustworthy team leader are invaluable to the GNS team, as well as his experience as a technical problem solver.
